BEACHFRONT DELI/CAFE WITH SUSTAINABLE VALUES
The beachfront Deli and Cafe also benefitted from the beautiful, textured Romney Marsh boards creating warmth and interest on the walls. Similar rustic textures are picked up on the OKA statement table, leather upholstery and rustic display shelving.
Amtico flooring (always a practical choice when sand is involved) is set off by a decorative ceramic tile apron around the service counter. Counter materials are painted, beaded fronts with sustainable, recycled worktops from our friends at Smile Plastics. Again, hard wearing tiles are applied to high traffic areas that require regular cleaning. Bespoke display ledges and a refrigerated case provide a practical home for the food, with off the peg shelving units being a cost effective means of showing off local products.
The architect designed bi fold shopfront fully extends creating an inside/outside vibe for the summer months - for which the OKA table can be extended to accommodate larger groups and make the most of that beautiful beach view.
